Church of the Holy Sepulchre closed indefinitely

March 30, 2020

Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, the world has dramatically changed since I went on my Holy Land pilgrimage. (I am so very grateful that I was able to go when I did.) Here is a sad article about how the Church of the Holy Sepulchre has closed indefinitely due to the virus.

Hopefully, this pandemic will end soon for so many reasons, including the reopening of this holiest site in the world for Christians.

Thankfully, we can take comfort in knowing that since God can conquer even death (which is what the Church of the Holy Sepulchre commemorates), then this virus doesn’t stand a chance either. This virus is real, but so too is resurrection life.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem – and of the world.
